Dessant Inc Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the use of the dessant.com website and to communications with Dessant Inc ("Dessant", "we", "us") by phone, email and text message. Services such as vehicle purchasing, transport, shipping and export are governed by the quote, invoice or agreement issued for each transaction; where those documents and these terms differ, the transaction documents control.
Text messaging (SMS) program terms
- Program description: Dessant Inc sends one-to-one, conversational text messages to customers who have contacted us or asked to be texted. Messages cover your transaction only: replies to your questions, vehicle pickup and delivery updates, requests for documents such as a title or bill of sale, delivery scheduling and payment confirmations. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Consent: By texting us, or by giving us your mobile number and asking us to text you, you agree to receive these messages from Dessant Inc at that number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies by transaction. You will typically receive a few messages per vehicle while it is in progress.
- Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one final confirmation message. You can also ask us to stop by calling (413) 331-4139 or emailing dt@dessant.com.
- Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at (413) 331-4139 or dt@dessant.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device.
- Privacy: Your mobile number and consent are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Use of the website
The content on dessant.com is provided for information about our services. Prices, availability and timelines shown on the site or in messages are estimates until confirmed in a written quote or invoice. You agree not to use the site or our messaging channels for any unlawful purpose or to send us content that is abusive or infringes the rights of others.
Accuracy of information you provide
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, including vehicle information, delivery addresses and contact numbers. Delays or costs caused by incorrect information are your responsibility.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Dessant Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the website or from messaging. Liability for transport, shipping and export services is set out in the agreement for each transaction.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
